The world faces great challenges. One of them is the long-term food security of the growing world population. Vertical farming offers sustainable and scalable solutions to the global food problem.
The use of the latest technologies in "high-tech greenhouses" enables higher harvest yields with less space requirements and opens up great potential for the climate-friendly transformation of conventional food systems. The expected growth momentum is correspondingly high: In large markets, growth rates of around 25% p.a. are forecast for vertical farming concepts in the near future, and thus a fivefold increase in market volume by 2029.
