For younger people of Generation Z, traditional media only play a subordinate role. Social media and the environment of the digital influencers are often opinion-forming for them.
However, these information channels are extremely vulnerable to digital manipulation, especially through new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI). In the future, it will become increasingly difficult to distinguish between truth and falsification. This increases the risk of media disinformation and manipulation, especially for young people.
