The presidential election in the USA in November 2024 is one of the most important events of the current year in several respects. Despite a large number of serious criminal charges, Donald Trump can be expected to be re-elected with a relatively clear probability of well over 50%!
The FERI Cognitive Finance Institute analyzes the consequences of an unhindered "march through" of candidate Trump for the United States, its democratic system and the entire world in the Cognitive Comment "Trump reloaded" - Threatening transformation of the USA into a presidential dictatorship.
The alarming conclusion: a new Trump presidency would aim to massively undermine and dismantle the democratic system in the USA - right up to the establishment of a presidential dictatorship!
Such a transformation would not only severely damage the USA as a country, but would also undermine America's role as a global leader. Europe and China in particular would once again have to reckon with a real economic war. At the same time, there is a threat of geopolitical upheaval and, in some cases, outright systemic disruption (e.g. NATO).
